Welcome to His House Care Centre

His House Care Centre is a non-profit organisation that was opened in 2005.

This establishment came into existence when a dire need for 24-hour care for under-privileged and elderly people was identified. His House currently provides a home for 22 residents, with others on the waiting list. One of our residents, is a teenage disabled boy who was legally removed from his parents and could not be placed into foster care. Of the 22 residents, approximately one third cannot pay for their accommodation and need to be subsidized.

To make ends meet, we rely on sponsorship from local businesses and private individuals. In addition, the His House team hosts many annual fund-raising events such as a second-hand sales, a Tri-Sport Event and food stalls at different events. We are very grateful for the generosity of people in the community.

An additional vision for opening the frail care center, was to create job opportunities in the community and to train local people as care givers. His House works in association with medical doctors, Sister Aletta Walters, as well as a physiotherapist and an occupational therapist. These specialists educate and train the staff members on a regular basis. There are currently 22 staff members employed by His House.

As the waiting list of individuals in need of full-time care continues to increase, we are endeavoring to meet this need by seeking additional funds in order to buy an adjacent house.

Being a non-profit organization, we value the input of our volunteers: People who take time to sit and talk, listen, encourage and help wherever - and whenever - they are needed. These volunteers become like an extended family and are involved in the His House Care Center to varying degrees
